Game Design & Coding, also known as Software Engineering is a course focusing on 21st century computer skills. Learning to solve problems utilizing our computers, students in the Game Design and Coding program (GDC) will learn fundamental coding techniques and strategies utilizing cutting edge platforms and software. The course focuses on Unity’s 2D Game Development Engine, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript as well as many others!
Students who receive 12 credits in Game Design and Coding will have the opportunity to take a Unity Certified Programmer certification exam. Additionally, our Advanced Placement Computer Science Principles course will be offered in the Senior Year for those who show initiative and dedication. Students who take and pass this exam will be eligible for 3 college credits.
