We will hold an in-person expedited PTA elections on Monday, September 22nd at 6:30 pm.
All parents and guardians are eligible to run for a position. In order to establish an active PTA, we need to have minimum of 8 parents present for election night. If you are interested in a position, please fill out this willingness to serve form: https://forms.gle/JUZ6VwZaC7BBNAiP8 or reach out to Mrs. Avila by email or phone call. Nominations/volunteers will also be taken on the floor and we must elect the following 3 officers to have an active PTA:
PTA PRESIDENT/VICE PRESIDENT
- Oversees the executive board, presides at meetings, and represents the PTA
- Managing the PTA Calendar
- Works with the other members of the Board to oversee their functions
- Providing PTA Board representation to the School Leadership Team, which meets once monthly
Recording Secretary
- Takes minutes at meetings, records attendance, and circulates approved minutes ensuring these minutes are distributed to members for review and approval at the next meeting
- Maintaining official records
- Keeping a secure file of all PTA documents, including meeting agendas, sign-in sheets, and past minutes.
- Attends all scheduled PTA meetings to record proceedings.
Treasurer
- Work with the PTA board to create a budget that forecasts income and expenses
- Track spending throughout the year to ensure it stays on track
- Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of the PTA’s financial activity
- Reporting: Provide clear and concise financial reports at meetings
- Collecting and depositing funds: Receive and deposit all monies as prescribed in the local bylaws
