We are a department that takes a comprehensive approach to physical and health education and focuses our curriculum on promoting all aspects of a lifelong healthy lifestyle.   Our students understand and value their personal health.  They learn to set goals and have the knowledge, skills and confidence in a variety of domains necessary to achieve them throughout their life.

Department Objectives

To enhance our students’ knowledge, skill level, and confidence in participating in fitness-related activities that utilize free weights and cardio equipment.

To enable our students to identify and set realistic health-related goals and develop effective multi-faceted plans to achieve them.

To offer specialized classes and units within our physical education program informed by research and student voice.
