Science Department
We will graduate 21st century scientific thinkers who are able to use the scientific processes and concepts from all fields of endeavor: earth science, biology, chemistry, and physics. This multidisciplinary approach, based around the Next Generation Science Standards, promotes curiosity and builds content knowledge along with core science practices to develop scientifically literate citizens. Students will be able to apply their scientific knowledge, scientific reasoning and thinking skills to solve problems, communicate effectively, work cooperatively and utilize technology to be successful in the next chapter of their lives.

NYS GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION
6 credits in science, including:
2 credits in any life science
2 credits in any physical science
2 credits in any life science or physical science
1200 minutes of lab for each course.
